GENERAL INFORMATION

 

Accommodations. The former CFOCS buildings, now the RCMP Pacific Region Training Centre (PRTC) will be used to provide rooms and facilities for the reunion. The complex will house our over-night accommodations, registration area, M&G, breakfast, dinner and a bar/entertainment area with some electronic equipment for our after dinner activities – all in one location! Rooms are apparently 4-star rated and are specially priced for us at $99 (+ current tax) per room.

 

Golf Event. The Cultus Lake Golf Course (CLGC) is a 4,000 yard 18 hole executive layout that is exciting and challenging for both beginners and pros.  A Texas Scramble format will be used. Playing rules, teams and Tee times will be posted on Friday. Golf equipment and power carts are available at the Pro Shop. Please indicate your intent to participate on your registration form.

Adjacent to the CLGC is an 18 hole, par 70 putting course called “Tap-Insthat those not playing in the above may want to use. If enough interest is shown, a mini-tournament can be arranged for this group. Please indicate your intent to participate on your registration form. Group Rate (12 or more players) for seniors (60+) is $11.00 pp incl tax.

Schedule of activities

Fri 20 Sep     1600 Registration, Meet and Greet (hot and cold finger food with vegetarian dishes available, coffee/tea,                             video presentation, karaoke) in bar area of Bldg 1100. The bar will be open during registration.

             

Sat 21 Sep    0700-0900 No host breakfast. (Confirm your intent during check-in/registration).

                    0930       Warm-up at CLGC. Registration fee includes a free warm-up bucket of balls.

                    1106       First Tee off at CLGC

                    1200       First Tee off at 18 hole putting course.

                    1900       Dinner (Salads, vegetable platter, carved roast beef and/or grilled chicken breast, roast nugget                                   potatoes, desserts and coffee/tea in cafeteria of Bldg 1100. A vegetarian dish is available.

                    1945       Awards, professional entertainer, karaoke and dancing in bar area of Bldg 1100.

Cost. The cost is $110 per person to cover use of facilities (not including rooms), M&G menu, CLGC golf fees, dinner menu, professional entertainer and gratuities. The cost is $76 per person if not playing golf.

 

Registration Information.  Registrations close on Fri 16 Sep 13. No refunds after Fri 13 Sep. Preliminary registrations will be accepted by e-mail or phone to Herb MacAulay, BUT a hard copy of the entry form and money order or cheque must reach Herb by the deadline of 06 Sep 2013. Do NOT plan to pay cash on arrival. The Registration Form is attached. Please wear a red shirt, blouse or other red accessory on Friday to honour our fallen comrades and to easily identify our group within the facility.

 

Directions.  On Hwy 1 Trans Canada Highway, follow the exit signs for Vedder Road/Sardis/Cultus Lake and merge onto Vedder Rd - follow Vedder Rd south for 4.7 km, then turn right onto Keith Wilson Rd for 250 m - take the 1st left onto Dieppe Pl, go 91 m then take the 1st right onto Calais Crescent – follow to the parking lot near building 1100.

 

Prizes. Each person participating in the Golf Event MUST bring an individual prize of $15-$20 value. Prizes will be accepted at the Friday Meet and Greet or prior to 1030 hrs on the day of the golf event.
