2014 WESTERN REUNION  -  CHILLIWACK BC   5-7 Sep 2014

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

 

 

Accommodations. The former CFOCS buildings, now the RCMP Pacific Region Training Centre (PRTC) will be used to provide rooms and facilities for the reunion. The complex will house our over-night accommodations, registration area, M&G, breakfast, dinner and a bar/entertainment area with some electronic equipment for our after dinner activities – all in one location! Rooms are apparently 4-star rated and are specially priced for us at $99 (+ current tax) per room.

Golf Event. The Cultus Lake Golf Course (CLGC) is a 4,000 yard 18 hole executive layout that is exciting and challenging for both beginners and pros.  A Texas Scramble format will be used. Playing rules, teams and Tee times will be posted on Friday. Golf equipment and power carts are available at the Pro Shop.

Adjacent to the CLGC is an entertaining 18 hole, par 70 putting course called “Tap-Insthat those not playing in the above may want to use.

Schedule of activities

Fri 05 Sep     1600    Registration, Meet and Greet.

Hot and cold finger food with vegetarian dishes available, coffee/tea, video presentation, karaoke in bar area of Bldg 1100. The bar will be open during registration.

             

Sat 06 Sep    0700-0900 No host breakfast. (Confirm your intent during check-in/registration).

                    0930       Warm-up at CLGC. Registration fee includes a free warm-up bucket of balls.

                    1106       First Tee off at CLGC

                    1200       First Tee off at 18 hole putting course.

          1900       Dinner.   
   Salads, vegetable platter, carved roast beef, roast nugget potatoes, desserts, coffee and tea in cafeteria of Bldg 1100.
 
   Vegetarian dishes are available.

                    1945       Awards, professional entertainer, skits and dancing in bar area of Bldg 1100.

          

Sun 07 Sep    0700-0900 No host breakfast. (Confirm your intent during check-in/registration).

Cost. The cost is $100 per person to cover use of facilities (not including rooms), M&G, CLGC golf fees, dinner, professional entertainer and gratuities. Individual event costs are: Dinner only $51.00;  M&G only $22.00; and Golf only $35.00.

Registration Information.  Registrations close on Fri 29 Aug 2014. No refunds after Fri 29 Aug. Preliminary registrations will be accepted by e-mail or phone to Herb MacAulay, BUT a hard copy of the entry form and money order or cheque must reach Herb by the deadline of Fri 29 Aug 2014. Do NOT plan to pay cash on arrival. The Registration Form is below. Please wear a red shirt, blouse or other red accessory on Friday 05 Sep to honour our fallen comrades and to easily identify our group within the facility.

Directions.  follow the exit signs for Vedder Road/Sardis/Cultus Lake and merge onto Vedder Rd - follow Vedder Rd south for 4.7 km, then turn right onto Keith Wilson Rd for 250 m - take the FIRST left onto Dieppe Pl, then take the FIRST right onto Calais Crescent – follow to the parking lot near building 1100.

 

Prizes. Each person whether participating in Golf or not is encouraged to bring an individual prize of $15-$20 value. Not necessarily golf oriented and NO golf balls please. We want to ensure everyone gets a prize to take home with them. Prizes will be accepted at the Friday Meet and Greet and names will be drawn for prizes sometime after dinner on Sat.
