Born in Ste-Françoise Romaine, 40 miles South West of Quebec City on 8 Nov. 1938, Lee joined the Army on 21 June 1955 as a Soldier Apprentice (16 years young).  After 2 years of military and academic training he was posted to Rivers, MN where he took Para training in 1957. Lee took his Gp II PTI course in 1958 and was posted to Borden in March 1959.  He completed his Gp III PTI Course in 1960 and was posted to Valcartier as a Sgt in 1963.  Married to Doris in 1964, they moved to Germany in 1965 then back to Valcartier in 1968.  CFR’d in 1971 he served in Bagotville 1972, Ismailia-Egypt 1974-75, CMR 1975, Germany 1978, FMCHQ(Maj) 1981, NDHQ 1984, El Gorah-Egypt 1988.  Following retirement from the Regular Forces in 1990, Lee served as a Class ‘C’ Reservist including a one-year stint in Cambodia in 1992-93. After a few short contracts with NDHQ/DPSA, in 1997 Lee retired to Hylands Golf course and in 2000 moved to Nanaimo, BC where  Lee keeps busy with their Granddaughter, golfing, fishing, community volunteering and reading,
